1 Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how eSpendWise ("we", "our", or "the app") manages and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

We are committed to preserving your digital privacy. Unlike traditional cloud finance platforms that require account creation and sync your banking data to remote cloud servers, eSpendWise is engineered as a standalone, offline-first personal finance tool.

2 Information Handled by the App

The information you input into eSpendWise is handled strictly within the application sandbox on your local device:

3 What We Do NOT Collect

For absolute clarity, eSpendWise does NOT collect or request:

• No Banking Credentials: We never ask for bank account logins, debit/credit card numbers, UPI PINs, or CVVs.
• No Personal Identifiers: We do not require your real name, email address, phone number, or home address to use the app.
• No Location or Biometric Data: We do not access GPS location, camera, microphone, contacts, or biometric sensors.
• No Behavioral Tracking: We do not employ third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking beacons.

4 Device Permissions

eSpendWise is engineered to operate with minimum platform permissions. The app does not request sensitive Android or iOS permissions (such as Contacts, Location, SMS, or Camera). Storage operations are confined exclusively to the private sandboxed storage allocated to the application by iOS and Android operating systems.

5 Third-Party Services

Because eSpendWise operates offline, it does not share your data with third-party service providers. However, please note:

• Distribution Platforms (Apple App Store & Google Play Store): When downloading, updating, or rating the app, Apple or Google may collect standard diagnostic and installation metrics governed by their respective privacy policies.
• No In-App Ads: There are no ad networks (such as Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, or Unity Ads) embedded within the app.

6 Data Retention, Deletion, and Control

Because your data resides exclusively in your device's local memory, you retain 100% control over it at all times:

• Instant In-App Data Wipe: You can permanently erase all recorded transactions, goals, and budget configs anytime by navigating to Profile & Settings > Danger Zone > Wipe All Data.
• App Uninstall: Deleting the eSpendWise app from your device immediately purges all stored database records from your device's operating system storage.
• No Residual Server Backups: Because we do not operate a remote database, no copies remain on any cloud server after local deletion.

7 Children's Online Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)

eSpendWise does not knowingly address, solicit, or collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). The app does not require registration or personal data entry. If a parent or guardian believes their child has used the device to record data, they may clear it instantly through the device settings or the in-app wipe feature.

8 Compliance with Global Privacy Standards (GDPR & CCPA)

Under regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Access & Portability: All your data is visible to you at all times on your own screen.
• Right to Rectification: You can edit any budget figure or expense directly in the app.
• Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can wipe your data completely without submitting a support request.
• Sale of Personal Information: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example, if new features or app updates are introduced. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date". We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
